Dancer par excellence, Vyjayanthi Kashi's career spans over an impressive spectrum of performance, choreography, teaching, therapy and research. She is a regular motivational speaker and workshop leader speaking on arts and life, dance and yoga, therapy and body language, creativity and collaboration in arts. Her work has been featured in festivals including the Oriental Dance Festival - Germany, Festival of India - Africa, India Film Festival - Malaga, Olympic Festival - Italy and many more. She serves on the Arts and Cultural Committee of the Ministry of Tourism and Culture, Government of India.

She has danced to raise funds for construction of temples in UK, cancer hospitals, Home for the aged, orphanages and institutes helping the destitute women. She has traveled widely working with special educators; therapists, healers to use movement therapy to heal the depressed, challenged, HIV/Positive and many more.

With a vision to promote artistic and professional excellence, she founded the SHAMBAVI SCHOOL OF DANCE in 1993, a non-profit organization registered under the Government of Karnataka trust act No. 299-1993-94.
